BANGKOK, Oct 1 (TNA) – Registration for the government’s new campaign to provide a half-price subsidy to consumers for their purchases at eligible stores started on Thursday for small entrepreneurs and vendors.
The campaign called Khon La Krueng will give 3,000-baht cash handouts to people affected by the economic fallout caused by Covid-19 to buy consumer goods. The spending will be capped at 150 baht per person per day.
They can register on the website – www.คนละครึ่ง.com or via the branches of Krung Thai bank. The bank will help them install the application to receive payment from their customers, participating in the campaign.
Public members can register for the cash handouts from Oct 16 onwards. The number of eligible applicants is limited at 10 million people and they are required to download the Pao Tang app’s G-wallet app to receive the money transfers.
Eligible participants can start shopping under the campaign on Oct 23.
The 30-billion-baht project is aimed at helping people shoulder the burden on the cost of living and their spending will be circulated to small entrepreneur and street vendors. (TNA)
