BANGKOK, Nov 22 (TNA) – Catholic youth flock to the Assumption Cathedral, waiting for the Holy Mass given by His Holiness Pope Francis at 5 p.m. today.
After four screening checkpoints opened at noon, a large number of Catholic teens entered the premises to get ready for the memorable ceremony.
Registered Catholics can enter the area outside the cathedral to catch a glimpse of the Pope.
Commemorative books on the historic Pope visit to Thailand, Vatican and Thai flags were distributed to young participants. About 7,500 young people attend the Mass today.
On the third day of visit on Friday, the Pope visited the parish of St Peters’ church in Nakhon Pathom’s Sam Phran district to meet clergy, worshippers and catechists before going to Chulalongkorn University to meet leaders of Christian denominations and other religions.
He will depart for Tokyo at 9.30 a.m. on Saturday. (TNA)
