BANGKOK, Aug 12 (TNA) — Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha urged government officials to help promote the work of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, especially her contributions to Thai cloth.
After an alms-giving ceremony to mark the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, at Sanam Luang ground, Prime Minister Prayut met Than Phuying Jarungjit Teekara, private secretary to Her Majesty the Queen Mother and other officials serving the Queen Mother.
They discussed the importance of publicizing the work of the Queen Mother, especially that on Thai cloth which dated from former times for the sake of the pride of the nation.
“Without knowledge on the national history, how can we love the nation? So, children and the youths are the heart. They should learn not only about modern knowledge but also what had been done in the past. Otherwise there would be a missing link essential for national development, Prime Minister Prayut said. (TNA)
