BANGKOK, June 14 (TNA) – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has proclaimed successful its grand event last week, the “Thailand Travel Mart Plus 2019 (TTM Plus 2019), saying that the three-day event has boosted the domestic tourism as targeted.
While declaring the success after the conclusion of the three-day event, TAT Deputy Governor for Marketing Communications Tanes Petsuwan told journalists that the “TTM Plus 2019”, held at the Ocean Marina Yacht Club in Pattaya of seaside Chon Buri Province during June 5-7, had attracted more than 700 international business operators in the tourism sector.
“During the three-day event last week, the participating international business operators met and held their business talks actively”, Tanes acknowledged.
The TAT deputy governor stated that last week’s TTM Plus 2019 has driven ahead the domestic tourism towards the international standard in terms of its growing prospect, as tourism sites of 55 Thai provinces that were not yet known or popular have now been in the interest of international tour agencies, namely those in Phrae, Nan and Lamphun in the Thai North and Satun in the Thai South.
According to the TAT deputy governor, the three-day “TTM Plus 2019” should earn the Thai Kingdom and people in local tourism attractions of at least 2.5 billion baht and boost the country’s tourism-related revenues from foreign tourists to reach about 2.2 trillion baht in the foreseeable future.
