BANGKOK, March 15 (TNA) – Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha will visit the northern provinces of Chiang Rai and Phrae on March 16 to follow up the implementation of public welfare and community forest policies.
Assistant government spokesperson Taksada Sangkhajan said Gen Prayut would first visit Chiang Rai. There he will follow up results from the government’s welfare card project for the poor at the University of Third Age which provides elderly people with educational services.
Then the prime minister will open a new bridge across the Kok river and inspect a bypass project.
Afterwards, Gen Prayut will go to the Chiang Rai provincial hall to discuss policies on forest fires and farmers’ large-scaled farmland.
In the afternoon, the prime minister will visit Phrae province. There he will hand land rights documents and participant ID cards to representatives of communities and local residents who participate in the large-scaled communal farmland project. He will also visit the sports field of the Phrae provincial administration organization to follow up the implementation of government policies before returning to Bangkok. (TNA)
