BANGKOK, Feb 14 (TNA) – L.P.N. Development Pcl, residential condominium developer installed water spraying systems on its buildings’ roof decks to help reduce tiny dust particles in the capital.
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) asked for cooperation from high rise buildings to fit water spraying systems in order to catch the PM2.5 particulate matter in the air.
Haze has returned to Bangkok since yesterday and is likely to prolong until to Friday.
The Lumpini Suite Din Daeng- Ratchaprarop in Din Daeng district is LPN’s prototype buildings for water spraying operation for all of its 150 condominium projects in the capital to follow the suit.
Chief advisor to Bangkok Governor, Wanlop Suwandee observed the operation there today.
Din Daeng district has reported an unhealthy level of ultra-fine dust particles.
The company started water spraying operations during rush hours since Jan 15. Due to continuing air pollution, the company installed the water spraying equipment at all buildings in the premises.
It also put in place control dust measures at many condominium construction projects. (TNA)
