BANGKOK, Nov 27 (TNA) – Bangkok governor Aswin Kwanmueang on Tuesday tested the BTS skytrain extension, connecting Bangkok to Samut Prakan before the launch of the trial run for public members next month.
Pol Gen Aswin Kwanmuang and executives of the Bangkok Mass Transit System Public Company Limited, the BTS Skytrain operator inspected readiness of the Green Line extension from Bearing to Samut Prakan.
During the field trip, he travelled from Samrong Station to Samut Prakan Housing Project station and visited the Skytrain maintenance depot.
The Bearing – Samut Prakan extension of the Sukhumvit line has new nine stations and will launch a trial run on Dec 6. Commuters can use the service free of charge for four months.
The fares will be announced later before the official opening of the service in April next year. (TNA)
