BANGKOK, April 27 (TNA) – His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn ordered mats, cushions and food be provided to facilitate public members, expected to watch the coronation ceremonies in Bangkok’s historic area from May 2 – 6.
Assistant to the Commander of the Royal Thai Police Pol Lt Gen Piya Utayo said His Majesty the King was concerned over his subjects, who would turn up to welcome the royal procession during the coronation ceremonies.
His Majesty the King ordered mats, cushions, artificial grass be arranged for public members and 18 makeshift kitchens be set up to provide food and drinking water to them.
Medical services will be stationed at 43 spots while 48 mobile toilets will be provided. Large screens will be installed put up to relay live broadcasts of the coronation events.
People can travel and park their cars at 26 designated areas, which can accommodate a total of 38,000 cars. Public transportation is also available.
On May 5, the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority will offer free air-conditioned shuttle buses to carry people to inner areas from 6.00 a.m. to midnight. (TNA)
