BANGKOK, April 22 (TNA) – Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha is glad that Bangkok is the most favorite destination of Japanese tourists.
Deputy government spokesman Werachon Sukondhapatipak revealed the prime minister’s stance in relation to the report that Bangkok is the most favorite destination of Japanese tourists during their Golden Week holiday early next month for the second consecutive year.
The report was based on a survey by the Agoda website. The survey also found that Pattaya and Phuket were the 4th and 10th most favorite destinations respectively.
“Japanese tourists are one of the five biggest groups of visitors to Thailand. Bangkok has beautiful tourist attractions, delicious foods and affordable costs of living and Thai people are friendly. Besides, the cultures of both countries are similar, so they can get along with each other,” Lt Gen Werachon said.
He encouraged Thai people to warmly welcome Japan tourists and also said that Japan was a favorite destination of Thai tourists who could enjoy cold weather, good foods and beautiful attractions when it was the hot season in Thailand. (TNA)
