BANGKOK, Jan 28 (TNA) – Registration for advance voting
started on Monday and will run until February 19, according to the Election
Commission (EC).
EC chairman Ittiporn Boonpracong said the EC invited
eligible voters residing in other locations outside their constituencies or
overseas to register for early voting.
The registration can be submitted online and more details
can be obtained on the website www.khonthai.com.
Those who want to cast absentee ballots in advance in their
constituencies can apply by themselves or by post, the EC chairman noted.
Wichuda Mekhanuwong , the Director of the EC Office in
Bangkok, said she would hold talks with the city clerk of Bangkok Metropolitan
Administration (BMA) on Tuesday about the locations for setting up electoral
campaign placards in Bangkok’s streets.
The fixed locations in each Bangkok’s district are to be
announced by the end of this month before the candidates for the election will
receive their numbers on the application dates Feb 4-8, she said. (TNA)
