BANGKOK, Jan 3 (TNA) – The Education Ministry plans a National Children’s Day event in its compound in Bangkok on Jan 12 and will encourage Thai children to be thoughtful and have voluntary mind.
Education Minister Teerakiat Jareonsettasin said the National Children’s Day event in the compound of the Education Ministry would mark its 64th anniversary. This year’s event will be organized on the theme of “Volunteer Kids” to promote good deeds among children. Besides, the ministry is campaigning for children to be aware of their proper roles and encouraging general people to realize the importance and need of children.
Dr Teerakiat said King Rama X sent a message to Thai children, encouraging them to keep learning, behave and have discipline so that they would have a bright future.
Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha urged children and young people to join forces to support national development.
Dr Teerakiat said that on the National Children’s Day, the Education Ministry would launch its online library that gathered about 30,000 books for users who had internet connection. Besides, it would introduce free tuition software application and hand out 3,000 souvenir books in its National Children’s Day event. (TNA)
