SUPHAN BURI, DEC 24 (TNA) – A search operation for a
missing 2-year-old Myanmar boy, last seen a sugarcane plantation in Suphan Buri
province, has entered the eighth day.
The son of Myanmar parents mysteriously disappeared on
December 17, prompting authorities to launch the search in and out the
plantation and adjacent areas. Even an
elephant was brought in for the operation.
Suphan Buri Governor Nimit Wanchaithanawong has set up a
command center at the plantation to coordinate the search and rescue team.
Authorities focused the search operation at four ponds
inside the plantations suspecting the baby might have drowned. Divers have failed to find any signs of the
baby boy in the five-meter-deep ponds.
Police of Suphan Buri have also questioned villagers,
checked CCTV camera footages and all evidence that might provide some clue.
His anxious parents and relatives remain hopeful to reunite
with the baby. (TNA)
