CHIANG RAI, Dec 11 (TNA) – The giant painting, commemorating the Wild Boars rescue mission at the Tham Luang cave has been moved to be installed at the exhibition pavilion in the Tham Luang-Khun Nam Nang Non Forest Park in Chiang Rai.
The 13 x 3 metre painting on canvas, featuring the rescue mission to save 12 young Wild Boars footballers and their coach, trapped inside the flooded cave complex from June 23-July 11 was moved from the Rong Khun temple to the Tham Luang cave today.
It will be installed there as part of the museum under construction at a site near the cave.
Led by national artist Chalermchai Kositpipat, the painting was completed by artists at the Art Bridge Chiang Rai centre.
Meanwhile, the statue of Saman Gunan, who died during his participation in the rescue will be moved to be installed at the site on Thursday after it is carried along the parade route in Chiang Rai’s town. (TNA)
