CHIANG RAI, Jan 7 (TNA) – Over 100 wild Himalayan cherry
trees in Thailand’s northern Chiang Rai province are blossoming amid stunning
mountainous landscape.
The impressive pink blossom is called by the locals as Thai
sakura although it is a different species.
Many places in northern Thailand including a highland
farming center in Chiang Rai’s Mueang district offer an impressive flowery
atmosphere in the month of January.
Himalayan cherry trees create a pinkish arch over a road
inside the center, making it a picturesque attraction.
The center officials said the blossoms could last only until
the end of January due to temperature fluctuation. (TNA)
