BANGKOK, Nov 10 (TNA) — Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha is scheduled to attend a remembrance day of the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I and the opening ceremony of Paris Peace Forum, to be held in Paris between November 11-12, said a Thai deputy government spokesman.
The deputy spokesman reiterated that the upcoming events are significant to the world because Thailand dispatched military forces and joined the ally in 1917 during the World War I, took place between 1914-1918.
The upcoming events are initiated by French President Emmanuel Macron, aimed at informing the world perils of war and the end of the war bestowed cooperation and development between countries, said the deputy spokesman.
Also, the invitation given to Gen Prayut displays Thailand’s stance in the global platform and it will be recorded in the Thai history, he said.
Gen Prayut will also present three books containing economic philosophy, initiated by HM late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, sustainable development programmes and ways to implement them to the Peace Library, the deputy spokesman added. (TNA)
