BANGKOK, July 17 (TNA) – The National Research Council of Thailand will organize the Thailand Research Expo 2020 on Aug 2-6 to present anti-COVID-19 researches among others.
NRCT and partners showed 30 Thai researches that will be among exhibits in the Thailand Research Expo 2020 set at Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld in Bangkok on Aug 2-6.
The exposition will focus on the researches that support the sustainable development of the country. It will reflect ‘new normal’ practices to help control the coronavirus disease 2019. The number of visitors will be limited. Visitors can register for their arrival in advance at www.researchexpo.nrct.go.th and www.nrct.go.th. People also visit the expo via the websites to prevent crowd gathering.
NRCT secretary-general Prof Dr Sirirurg Songsivilai said more than 300 researches would be presented in the expo and showed the development of Thai researchers.
According to him, researches on the treatment and prevention of COVID-19 will be among highlights. They include COVID 19 Genstrip test kits from Srinakharinwirot University. They produce accurate test results in two hours.
The Medical Sciences Department and the Science Service Department will show washable and reusable personal preventive equipment (PPE) suits with water resistant coatings.
Besides, the expo will update visitors on progress in developing a COVID-19 vaccine and a planned human trial in October. (TNA)
