BANGKOK, Sept 23 (TNA) – The Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) resolved to end the state of emergency nationwide on Sept 30 and the center along with its nine organizations will be dissolved at the same time, according to the secretary-general of the National Security Council (NSC).
NSC secretary-general Gen Supoj Malaniyom said CCSA agreed that the state of emergency should end on Sept 30 and would propose the end to the cabinet for approval next week. Responsibility for COVID-19 solutions would go to the National Communicable Disease Committee chaired by Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, Gen Supoj said.
“Solutions to COVID-19 have been implemented as planned. The situation of the disease has improved and the Public Health Ministry will declare COVID-19 a communicable disease under surveillance. Therefore, normal laws can be enforced to cope with it,” he said.
When the imposition of the Executive Decree on Public Administration in Emergency Situations ends CCSA and its nine organizations will also cease to exist and normal mechanisms will be used,” said the NSC secretary-general. (TNA)
