BANGKOK, June 10 (TNA) – The Ambassador of the Republic
of Kosovo pays a courtesy call on the Thai Prime Minister for the first time after
being appointed to his post last year.
In the meeting at Government House on Wednesday, Prime
Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha lauded Kosovo for successfully utilizing digital
diplomacy policy in raising the country’s profile and recognition in the
international community.
Gen Prayut told Ambassador Muhamet Brajshori that Thailand
wished to learn more about “Interfaith Kosovo Initiative.”
The prime minister said the fact that Kosovo’s embassy in
Bangkok was the first in ASEAN and the second in Asia reflected the prospect
for stronger ties between the two nations.
Ambassador Brajshori reaffirmed his commitment to promote
friendship and diplomatic relation that was established seven years ago.
Prime Minister Prayut and Ambassador Brajshori also
discussed the common challenges faced by the two countries such as the COVID-19
pandemic. (TNA)
