BANGKOK, Jan 20 (TNA) – Prime Minister Gen. Prayut
Chan-ocha led cabinet members in a field trip to Narathiwat on Monday morning
and will chair the cabinet retreat there tomorrow.
The Prime Minister started his visit to Chao Mae Toh
Moh Shrine and met with representatives
of 4 Chinese-Thai Associations.
He then travelled to Sugai Kolok municipality office
to follow up on the construction progress of the municipality’s flood
prevention system and meet with the local people.
In the
afternoon, the Prime Minister will travel to Prachumchon Thara Temple
to meet with Buddhist and Muslim Thais before heading to Office of the Islamic
Committee of Narathiwat Province to meet with religious leaders and Muslim
Thais.
On Tuesday, the Prime Minister will chair the
meeting on economic and social development of the Southern border provincial
cluster (Narathiwat, Pattani, and Yala), and the 1/2020 cabinet retreat at
Princess of Naradhiwas University before returning to Bangkok in the afternoon.
According to
the Prime Minister, the main objective of the field visit is to boost
investors’ confidence on the economy, trade and investment in the Southern
border provinces, as well as to follow up on water management progress,
healthcare service development, promotion of OTOP product e-commerce. (TNA)
