PRACHINBURI, Feb 4 (TNA) – Two wild elephants in Prachin Buri province narrowly avoided a collision with vehicles on a public road, raising concerns about human-wildlife conflict in the area.
The incident occurred after the elephants ventured out of the Khao Ang Rue Nai Wildlife Sanctuary and wandered onto the road near Ban Hua Sa School in Si Maha Phot district.
Local residents reported that the elephants had previously caused damage to crops and property in nearby farming communities. Rangers from the Khao Ang Rue Nai Wildlife Sanctuary have been tracking the elephants and attempting to guide them back to the protected area.
