MAE HONG SON, March 23 (TNA) – Local officials were helping more than 100 families whose houses were damaged by summer storms in Mae Hong Son and Nakhon Ratchasima provinces.
In the northern province of Mae Hong Son, a summer storm hit Kong Koi sub-district of Sop Moei district yesterday. Local officials found 99 damaged houses in two villages and most of them lost metal roofing sheets.
Mae Hong Son governor Sithichai Chindaluang ordered the Sop Moei district office to immediately help victims.
In the northeastern province of Nakhon Ratchasima, a summer storm struck eight districts.
In Khon Buri district, Wichit Kijjawirat, the district chief, handed bags of consumer products to victims. The storm damaged 20 houses each in Jorakay Hin and Sae sub-districts. Among them, four houses were completely roofless and dwellers had to move out temporarily. (TNA)
