SAMUT SAKHON, Jan 11 (TNA) – Ye Yan Aung, labor attaché at the Myanmar embassy in Bangkok, visited the compound of the Wattana Factory project in Phan Thai Norasing sub-district of Muang district, Samut Sakhon, to inspect the construction of a 1,000-bed field hospital to treat COVID-19 patients.
Wattana Taengmanee, president of the Phan Thai Norasing sub-district administration organization and owner of the property, received the Myanmar labor attaché and briefed the latter on the construction of the field hospital, planned to receive migrant workers who contracted COVID-19 in Samut Sakhon.
The field hospital will be completed within 10-15 days and provincial authorities will then deploy health and security workers at the facility.
The Myanmar labor attache said he was thankful for Thai people’s assistance for Myanmar people during the crisis. He promised the Myanmar embassy would give any support that the field hospital may need. (TNA)
