BANGKOK, Sept 22 (TNA) – Drive- through blood tests are available at Siriraj Hospital to help reduce the number of patients coming on site during the Covid-19.
Prasit Watanapa, dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital of Mahidol University on Tuesday presided over the opening of the new service.
He said about 8,000-10,000 patients with appointments visit the hospital daily and it is the hospital’s challenge to handle this under the pandemic when it has to comply with social distancing guideline.
As a result, the hospital sets up the facilities on the 10-rai Chao Phraya area to provide the drive –through blood test service from 7 am.until noon every day except public holidays.
To use the service, patients can drive up to one of six clinical stations and have their blood taken.
It can accommodate about 600 patients a day.
Patients are required to make an appointment for the service via Siriraj Connect application in advance. The service is not available for children aged below ten years old. (TNA)
