BANGKOK, Aug 17 (TNA) – The Anti-Corruption Organization of Thailand (ACT) planned to organize an event to mark the National Anti-Corruption Day on Sept 11.
ACT secretary-general Mana Nimitmongkol said the organization set the National Anti-Corruption Day on Sept 6 every year and had organized relevant activities to mark the day annually since 2011.
This year, the activities were set with the theme of “Power of Data” on Sept 11. ACT would announce the event at the Crystal Box on the 19th floor of Gaysorn Tower in Ratchaprasong area from 2pm to 3pm on Aug 19.
“This year we will emphasize the use of the open databases of the government sector to fight against corruption.
“The ACT Ai tool will be applied to detect corruption in budgets worth about 400 billion baht set for economic and social rehabilitation related to COVID. All sectors will see the importance of using technology and public participation to prevent corruption,” Dr Mana said. (TNA)
