BANGKOK, Oct 26 (TNA) – Registration of the second
–phase cash giveaway scheme or Chim, Shop, Chai (Taste, Shop, Spend), aimed at spurring local tourism, for Saturday
morning was quickly full in the morning slot of 500,000 applicants.
The registration entered the
third day in a row. The morning quota was opened at 6 a.m. and it was filled by
7.54 a.m.
Successful applicants can use the money under the project, aimed
at stimulating local economy and targeted 3 million consumers, on travelling
anywhere in Thailand, except their own hometowns which are
registered in identification cards.
Registration for the
project is allowed twice a day, starting at 6.00 a.m. and at 6.00 p.m., while
the quota for each round is 500,000 persons. (TNA)
