Yunnan, July 12 (TNA) – European tourism representatives have highlighted Yunnan Province’s unique travel experiences and convenient connections to Southeast Asia as key factors driving the increasing number of European visitors to the region.
According to Yunnan Daily, a Swiss tourism representative with over a decade of experience in planning Yunnan tours, first visited Kunming, the province’s capital city, in 2001. He remarked on the significant transformation the city has undergone since then, emphasizing Yunnan’s immense appeal as a tourist destination for Swiss travelers.
The opening of the China-Laos international railway has further facilitated travel between Yunnan and Southeast Asian nations, making the region even more attractive to European tourists, he added.
Another Swiss tourism representative lauded Yunnan’s distinct geographical advantages and abundant tourism resources, expressing plans to bring more European tourists to the province in the future.
An Austrian travel agent noted that Yunnan has good weather, abundant flora and fauna, and diverse ethnic cultures, which attract Austrian tourists. -819 (TNA)
