BANGKOK, Dec 9 (TNA) – The Tourism Authority of Thailand will organize the “Amazing Thailand 10 Million Celebrations” to celebrate the 10 millionth arrival in the country this year at seven airports and two land border checkpoints.
TAT governor Yuthasak Supasorn said that from January to Dec 5 the country welcomed 9.78 million visitors (according to the Immigration Bureau) and the 10 millionth visitor was expected to arrive on Dec 10, reaching the target of the TAT for arrivals in 2022.
In the “Amazing Thailand 10 Million Celebrations”, there will be ceremonies to welcome and present souvenirs to arrivals from all flights or during a specific period at seven airports namely Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang, U-Tapao, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Krabi and Samui and at two land border checkpoints in Nong Khai province and Sadao district of Songkhla.
The TAT also prepared a special gift for the luckiest visitor at Suvarnabhumi airport. (TNA)
