BANGKOK, Oct 5 (TNA) – His Majesty the King sponsored the cremation of late Lt Krisana Phetchamras of the 45th Paramilitary Ranger Regiment who was killed in a clash with militants in Bacho district of Narathiwat.
Col Sirichan Ngathong, deputy spokesperson of the Royal Thai Army, said the royally sponsored cremation was scheduled at Wat Khuan Sawaeng in Khok Sai sub-district of Pa Bon district, Phatthalung, on Oct 9.
According to Col Sirichan, army chief Gen Narongphan Jitkaewtae expressed his condolences on the death of Lt Krisana and praised the late soldier for sacrificing his life for law enforcement, public safety and order. The army chief promised the best assistance for the family of the deceased.
“The army commander-in-chief said Lt Krisana was a brave soldier who devoted and sacrificed himself to law enforcement missions for the sake of public safety and order in the locality. He ordered concerned officers to guarantee full welfare and assistance,” Col Sirichan said. (TNA)
