BANGKOK, Feb 20 (TNA) – Three of 25 Thai nationals on board the Diamond Princess cruise ship have been infected with the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) and have been treated in hospital, said Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Cherdkiat Atthakor.
The three Thai Covid-19 patients are one passenger and two crew members. They are in stable conditions, according the Thai embassy in Tokyo.
Among all 25 Thai nationals on board are two passengers and 23 crew members.
The other passenger, testing negative to the virus has disembarked after the quarantine ended on Feb 19 and is now staying at the hotel, preparing to return home, the spokesman said.
The rest of 21 Thai crew members remain on board to help disinfect the ship after all passengers disembark. (TNA)
