BANGKOK, Nov 30 (TNA) – Five roads near Chinatown or Yaowarat and its vicinity will be closed to traffic next Friday as Their Majesties King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida will open an exhibition, commemorating the Chakri dynasty.
Their Majesties will preside over the opening ceremony at the Celebration Arch of the 6th Cycle Anniversary Memorial on Yaowarat Road.
Bangkok police said some sections of five roads will be closed from midday on December 6 to facilitate the royal motorcade. Five roads are Yaowarat, Ratchawong, Charoen Krung, Rama 4 and Mittraphap Thai –China.
Besides, 11 security checkpoints will be set up to screen people, entering the area. Visitors will be asked to show their identification cards.
Apart from the exhibition, which will be open to the public on Dec 7-8, cultural shows, a lion dance will be performed there and street food will be available for visitors to taste along Yaowarat Road. (TNA)
