BANGKOK, Nov 23 (TNA) – The Air Quality Index (AQI) measured in Bangkok was fine early Saturday, but PM2.5 or fine particulate matter that pose the greatest risk to human health has a tendency to rise in future, according to Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA).
PM2.5, measured by every station in the Thai capital, was within the safety standard as of Saturday morning. People could either exercise outdoor or conduct tour normally.
The City Hall workers are ordered to spray water and clean Bangkok roads everyday. Business establishments have been asked to implement measures to reduce ultra fine dust.
Permanent Secretary for Public Health, Dr. Sukhum Kanchanapimai yesterday said that several parts of Bangkok and surrounding provinces have been affected by particulate matter 2.5 for 22 days and the situation is likely to worsen in early December. (TNA)
