BANGKOK, Sept 4 (TNA) – Police have arrested a third
suspect in connection with the bombings and arson attacks that took
place in Bangkok on August 2.
Muhammad Sa-I or Baeli had been held in connection with the
bomb in front of the Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarter.
According to Crime Suppression Division police, the man
denied any wrongdoing.
Thirteen other individuals have been issued arrest warrants
for their roles in the multiple bombings and arson.
Baeli will face charges of conspiring in an unlawful
syndicate, taking part in arson, illegally possessing explosive and attempting
murder.
In addition to 13 suspects, Thai police believe at least 20
individuals took part in the attacks and some have fled abroad.
The first two suspects who are in police custody were
arrested on August 2, one day after leaving explosives at the Royal Thai Police
Headquarters.(TNA)
