SAMUT SAKHON, April 30 (TNA) – More than 60 children from
six countries learn how to make Thai traditional sweets and crafts in a
cultural exchange programme in Thailand’s Samut Sakhon province.
Junior Chamber International (JCI) in cooperation with Bang
Plup community leaders organised the three-day JCI Kids Camp Thailand from
Saturday to Tuesday.
In the fourth edition of the programme, 61 kids aged 9-14
from Cambodia, Germany, Japan, Mongolia, Taiwan and Thailand took part in fun
and learning activities at Wat Kan Jan temple.
Dressed in traditional Thai outfits, the children learned
folk wisdoms from making delicious sweets and Thai crafts.
Under the principle of leadership development, JCI aims to
offer international youths opportunity to build friendship and develop
communication skills through cultural exchange programme.
Foreign participants were impressed of genuine experiences
of Thai rural life and cuisine. (TNA)
