CHONBURI, April 29 (TNA) – The 2019 Sattahip
International Regatta concluded on Sunday with sailors from four nations
participating in the five-day event.
The Yacht Racing Association of Thailand organised the
second Sattahip Regatta at the Naval Rating School in Sattahip, Chonburi, to
commemorate and honour the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej who sailed from Hua Hin
across the Gulf of Thailand to Sattahip in 1966.
Representing His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn, Gen
Kampanat Ruddit, a privy councilor, presided over the award presentation and
closing ceremonies on Sunday.
The Regatta from April 24 to 28 included a total of 217
boats and 264 sailors from Bulgaria, China, Singapore and Thailand, competing
in 11 races.
2019 Sattahip International Regatta Thailand was
co-organised by the Royal Thai Navy and PTT Exploration Public Company Limited.
