BANGKOK, April 29 (TNA) – Governors of all provinces nationwide planted “Yellow Star” trees in honor of His Majesty the King’s coronation early next month.
Bangkok governor Aswin Kwanmuang did the activity with the presence of executives and staff of the City Hall at the new City Hall in Din Daeng district. He said provincial governors obtained Yellow Star trees from His Majesty the King on April 15 and the trees would be planted at provincial halls and the important roads of respective provinces.
Staff of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration would plant “Yellow Star” trees along the new 12-kilometer-long Srinagarind-Romklao Road, he said. The construction of the new road would be completed in August, he said.
Meanwhile, Chatchai Phromlert, permanent secretary of the Interior Ministry, said provincial governors planted the trees at their respective provincial halls today. Yellow Star was the symbolic tree of King Rama X, he said.
Local people and volunteers participated in the auspicious activity at their provincial halls, he said. (TNA)
