SAPPORO, Feb 7 (TNA) – A Thai team won the top prize
at the 46th Sapporo Snow Sculpture contest with their work,
depicting Thai national aquatic animal Siamese fighting fish or Betta splendens.
The sculpture is called “Betta Brilliance, The
Beauty and Strength of Thailand” secured the country’s eighth win at this
international contest.
The team of three consists of Kusol Boonkobsongserm,
the team leader from the Shangri-la Hotel, Amnuaysak Srisook from the Grand
Hyatt Erawan Hotel and Kritsana Wongthet, freelance sculptor.
Nine teams from many countries such as Finland and
South Korea participated in the contest. Their works will be on display until
Feb 11.
The contest is part of the 70th Sapporo
Snow Festival. (TNA)
