BANGKOK, Nov 8 (TNA) – The winter fair will be held at the Royal Plaza from Dec 9 – Jan 19 as the police have prepared to provide security and facilitate traffic during the event.
Acting assistant national police chief, Pol Lt Gen Piya Uthayo yesterday chaired the meeting on preparation for the organizing of the Oon Ai Rak Khlai Khwam Nao (Warm Love to Relieve the Cold) at the Royal Plaza and Sanam Suapa. The meeting was attended by representatives from 37 agencies.
At least four screening points will be set up at the entrances. Visitors have to show their ID cards and passports to officials, manning the checkpoints.
Weapons, alcohol beverages and narcotics are not banned at the venue.
The fair will feature an historical atmosphere. Public members are invited to dress in traditional costumes to preserve the country’s cultural heritage.
The Royal Thai Police will build an old-style police station to demonstrate how the police worked in the old days. Police officials, dressed up in the old-style uniforms will be opened to receive complaints at the event. There will be also an exhibition and police dog and horse shows. (TNA)
