BANGKOK, May 28 (TNA) – THAIFEX – World of Food Asia 2019
opened its door for business-matching in one of the world’s largest food and
beverage events on Tuesday.
The Department of International Trade Promotion, The Thai
Chamber of Commerce and Koelnmesse co-organise THAIFEX – World of Food Asia
2019 at Impact Muang Thong Thani in Bangkok.
Leading manufacturers of food and beverage from over 40
countries around the world have opportunities to meet entrepreneurs and
business professionals between Tuesday and Saturday.
Banjongjitt Angsusingh, Director-General of the Department
of International Trade Promotion, said in bringing the businesses in food and
beverage industry under one roof the organisers expected over Bt11.4 billion
worth of trade deals.
The event offered a platform for business exchange between
manufacturers, exporters, and partners from around the globe to potentially
forging their partnership, she said.
SMEs and Startups had been encouraged to showcase their
innovation at the event, said Banjongjitt.
Chairman of Board of Trade of Thailand Kalin Salasin said
food and beverage manufacturers must be aware of global trend and changing
consumers’ behaviors towards environment-friendly and healthy products.
On the last day, THAIFEX will turn to public day for
visitors to browse and buy products of nearly 2,700 companies. (TNA)
