CHIANG MAI, April 6 (TNA) – Fine dust particles in Chiang Mai is still high today, forcing concerned authorities to spray water in the provincial seat as well as at tourist destinations.
Officials accelerate to put out the fire in forest reserves while they found 120 hotspots, up from 75 spots yesterday in 14 districts.
Air quality measuring stations reported the unhealthy levels of dust particles, ranging from 84 – 126 microgrammes per cubic metre. Authorities have to spray water at hospitals, schools, tourist destinations and around Chiang Mai to increase moisture and eliminate smog in the air.
In summary, there were about 680 hotspots in the Northern region.
Mae Hong Son province came worst with about 380 hotspots. (TNA)
