BANGKOK, DEC 10 (TNA) – His Majesty King Maha
Vajiralongkorn on Sunday led thousands of cyclists in Thailand’s largest
cycling event “Un Ai Rak Bicycle Ride”.
The King presided over the opening of the cycling event
before taking the bicycle ride from the Royal Plaza in Bangkok to Lat Pho Park
in Phra Pradaeng district of Samut Prakan province.
Accompanied by members of the Royal Family and senior
officials, the King covered the total length of the round-trip bicycle ride of
39 kilometers.
Similar cycling events were held simultaneously across the
country.
In Chiang Rai, over 10,000 members of ethnic highlanders
participated in the cycling event taking them on the 29-kilometer-route through
major landmarks of the northernmost province of Thailand.
Likewise, thousands of cyclists in Kanchanaburi province
took part in the mass bicycle ride event intended to promote healthy lifestyle
and national unity.
In Nonthaburi, the bicycle ride event also featured special
performances to promote family bonds and social unity.(TNA)
