AYUTTHAYA, DEC 3 (TNA) – Thai and foreign runners join in
the 6th Unique Running Ayutthaya Marathon allowing them to cherish the beauty
of the ancient architecture of Ayutthaya Kingdom.
Over 11,000 runners took part in this year’s Marathon of the
former capital of Thailand, divided into four categories, full marathon, half
marathon, mini marathon and fund run.
Ayutthaya Deputy Governor Wirachai Nakmas gave the signal
for runners to leave the start line at Ayutthaya provincial hall.
The ancient city-centric marathon course took the runners to
the famous ruins of the World Heritage Site.
The organizers wish to raise awareness and promote national pride on the
national cultural heritage of the Ayutthaya Kingdom.(TNA)
