CHIANG MAI, Nov 28 (TNA) – The temperature has plunged to below zero for the first time this year atop Doi Inthanon, the highest peak in Thailand.
Tourists flock to see the sunrise and frost-coat morning views at Kiew Mae Pan scenic lookout. The temperature there has dropped to -1°C this morning, down from 5°C yesterday. Grass along the road in the Doi Inthanon National Park was covered with frost.
The mountain, capped with frost attracts tourists to take pictures. Yesterday, the Doi Inthanon National Park recorded 2,077 tourists, including 1,389 Thais and 688 foreigners.
Tourists are warned of low visibility due to thick fog along some tourist routes. (TNA)
