BANGKOK, Nov 6 (TNA) — It is estimated that local printers will make around 3-4 billion baht from orders for flyers and leaflets for the planned general elections early next year.
Kriengkrai Thiennukul, the deputy chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries in his capacity as the special advisor to the Thai Printing Association, stated that next year’s elections will greatly benefit local printing business owners who will receive increased orders for flyer and leaflets from political parties in the run-up to the polls.
Despite the official sanctions limiting the number of printed material during elections campaign, it is estimated that local printing business owners will be able to earn between 3-4 billion baht.
At present, local printing business have been hit by the rise in the popularity of electronic media in especially in the past five years.
Last year’s orders for printed material fell drastically but fortunately this has been made up by significant increases in orders for printed packaging production. (TNA)
