BANGKOK, May 13 (TNA) – Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-ocha on Wednesday morning visited the center for helping people affected by Covid-19 at Wat Rakang Kositaram in Bangkok.
The temple’s kitchen cook meals for distribution to officials on duty and local residents in nearby communities, the jobless and low-income earners to help releive their hardship duirng the outbreak crisis.
Upon his arrival at the temple, Gen. Prayut paid respect to the abbot at the temple’s ubosot (ordination hall) and observed the waiting area for people, receiving donations.
Body temperature measurement is performed for people and seats are arranged to keep them the proper distance apart.
The kitchen is run by volunteers to cook 1,000 boxes of food daily.
Temples across the country are handing out food to help people in need during the Covid-19 outbreak under the initiative of the Supreme Patriarch. (TNA)
