BANGKOK, April 25 (TNA) – The Thai Health Promotion Foundation invites Thai people to constructively kill time during the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic by reading health books via the “SOOK Library” application software.
Benjamaporn Limpisathian, director of the Thai Health Center of the foundation, said the pandemic forced people to change their routines, avoid gatherings and work from home and under the situation they might develop tension without being aware of it.
Therefore, the foundation invited people to relieve their tension by reading useful online books through the “SOOK Library” application. Mrs Benjamaporn said the application software gathered content on physical and mental healthcare, food, self-development, tourist destinations, hobbies and health promotion.
Free SOOK Library application contains 1,667 items of useful information including 905 electronic books, 327 health video clips, pictorial tales and infographics. Besides, the content was regularly updated and included latest information about COVID-19, Mrs Benjamaporn said.
“SOOK Library offers constructive activities to people staying home to curb COVID-19, protect themselves, and be responsible for society. It also provides knowledge on health promotion and encourage Thai people to read in the digital era. The additional source of knowledge leads to well-being in all dimensions and people will be ready to cope with all health situations,” Mrs Benjamaporn said.
