BANGKOK, April 6 (TNA) – Thailand Red Cross is to donate
12 million face masks for impoverished people and health volunteers in the
battle against coronavirus.
The Thai Red Cross Society announced on Monday that it was
acquiring 10 million cloth face masks to be distributed via postal service to
selected groups of people.
Two million more will be given to village health volunteers
working in rural areas.
Volunteers will begin making cloth face masks on Tuesday.
The Red Cross has also coordinated with other agencies to
collect donations and send them as relief packages to people.
Over 25,000 packages worth THB16 million have so far been
handed to people in 21 provinces.(TNA)
