BANGKOK, March 2 (TNA) — Officials of Airports of Thailand Plc (AoT) suspects three air passengers of contracting coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) after screening about 105,000 travelers at its six airports.
Transport Minister Saksayam Chidchob said AoT had screened 105,677 travelers using its Don Mueang, Suvarnabhumi, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Hat Yai airports and found three suspected cases.
One is an Indian man, 39, who arrived at Don Mueang airport from Japan’s Narita airport. He traveled on Flight XJ601 of AirAsia X airline. His body temperature measured 37.7 degrees Celsius. He neither coughed nor had a runny nose. He was sent to Bamrasnaradura Infectious Diseases Institute.
Another is a German man who arrived at Phuket airport from Singapore. He boarded Flight MI750 of Silkair, coughed and had a runny nose. His temperature measured 38.6 degrees Celsius. He was admitted to Vachira Phuket Hospital.
The other patient is an outgoing Japanese woman, 21, at Suvarnabhumi airport. Her temperature was at 37.1 degrees Celsius but she coughed and had a runny nose. She was sent to Bang Phli Hospital. (TNA)
