BANGKOK, Dec 14 (TNA) – The Commerce Ministry and the private sector have launched the New Year Grand Sale 2020 campaign presenting consumer products with discounts of up to 70% as New Year gifts.
Deputy Prime Minister and Commerce Minister Jurin Laksanawisit said the campaign resulted from collaboration between the Commerce Ministry and operators of about 20,000 department stores, wholesale enterprises, supermarkets, convenience stores and automotive shops natinowide.
Discounts are available for products in 10 categories including food and beverages, daily consumer products, electrical appliances, farming tools, garments, construction materials, sports gear and tires.
Tires and related services were available with discounts of 20-30% while discounts for bedding, cosmetics, stationery, furniture and home decorations were 10-70%, Mr Jurin said.
The grand sale campaign was set from Dec 14 to Jan 12 next year. It is expected to reduce people’s cost of living by 30% or 21.6 billion baht and result in the circulation of more than 50 billion baht in the economy. (TNA)
