BANGKOK, Dec 10 (TNA) – The Department of Rail Transport prepared some stations of the Blue Line electric railway to serve people who will witness the royal barge procession on Dec 12.
Sorapong Paitoonphong, deputy director-general of the department, led his staff to Hua Lamphong, Sanam Chai and Itsaraphap stations of the Blue Line to check their readiness ahead of the royal barge procession.
The three stations are expected to serve crowds of people who will arrive to witness the royal barge procession at the nearby banks of the Chao Phraya River.
On Dec 12 the Mass Rapid Transit Authority and Bangkok Expressway and Metro PCL will provide free services on Blue Line and Purple Line to facilitate the people who plan to have first-hand experiences in the royal barge procession.
