BANGKOK, Dec 9 (TNA) – The last rehearsal of the Royal Barge Procession will be conducted today ahead of the much-anticipated royal ceremony in the final phase of the royal coronation, scheduled for December 12.
Over 2,000 oarsmen will take part in the rehearsal of the grandeur procession at 13.30 on Monday.
Fifty two ceremonial barges and boats will float in uniformity for a distance of 3.4 km. during the rehearsal, which will take about one and a half hour.
Public members are invited to watch the rehearsal along the Chao Phraya River at several locations, where the royal barge procession will pass such as the Rama XIII Bridge and Santi Chaiprakan Park.
The procession will begin at Wasukri pier and end at Wat Arun Ratchawararam.
His Majesty the King will travel in a procession on Thursday to present monks’ robes as part of the royal kathin ceremony at Wat Arun Ratchawaram. (TNA)
